Designs Direct Creative Group in Covington, KY is seeking a Product Designer to create original artwork and decorative home product designs in a hybrid role. You will refine concepts through customer feedback, revision cycles, and approval with internal and overseas teams.

You’ll use AI and industry design tools alongside Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) to develop compelling designs, present concepts to clients, and ensure accurate specifications throughout development.

Qualifications

• Strong artistic and design skills producing commercially relevant artwork.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Familiarity with AI design tools such as Adobe Firefly and Midjourney.
• Ability to translate customer needs, feedback, deadlines into finished designs.
• Strong organization and attention to detail to maintain design information.
• Clear communication for direct customer collaboration.
• Time-management to complete work on schedule with minimal supervision.
• Basic math, fractions, and ruler measurements for specs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Education and experience

• Degree, major, or significant coursework in Graphic Design or a related discipline is highly preferred.
• Relevant design experience is preferred, and candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
• Fine art skills, including illustration and painting, are an asset.

Physical requirements

• Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods, approximately 7+ hours daily.
• Ability to stand for 1–3 hours as needed and lift up to 20 pounds periodically.
• Local travel and, periodically, longer distances with overnight stays for trade shows or customer meetings.
• May be exposed to odors from paints and chemicals where masks may be required.
