Senior Product Designer – Contract (Remote or On-site in Mountain View, CA)

SALT is partnering with an innovative tech company to find a Senior Product Designer for a 6-month contract (with the possibility to convert to full-time). This is a unique opportunity to own 0→1 product experiences and contribute to a product team building something new from the ground up.

We’re looking for a self-driven designer with exceptional interaction and visual design skills who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

• Design thoughtful, end-to-end product experiences that balance user and business needs
• Act as the design owner for a core workstream, collaborating closely with product and engineering
• Deliver interaction models, user flows, high-fidelity screens, components, and prototypes
• Lead and participate in cross-functional share-outs to communicate design decisions
• Contribute to building a strong design culture and product vision

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
• A strong portfolio showcasing 0→1 product work and systems thinking
• Experience wearing multiple hats — from UX to prototyping to user research
• Ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive experiences
• Proficient with design tools and methodologies like customer journey maps and flow diagrams
• Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative, startup-like teams
• Remote within the U.S.
• On-site in Mountain View, CA
