Job summary

The Google LLC Pixel Hearables team is hiring a Product Design Engineer to help shape the next generation of Pixel Earbuds. You’ll drive design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts in a manufacturing and product-focused environment.

Collaborate with Electrical, Antenna, Industrial Design, Reliability, Operations, and Audio teams, and work with global suppliers to deliver high-quality wearable devices. Individual pay ranges from $132000 to $189000 with a 15% target bonus and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• 3 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts.
• 3 years of experience using CAD tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.

Responsibilities

• Design a complex subsystem or multiple moderately complex parts from concept to production.
• Collaborate with suppliers of subsystems or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process.
• Identify the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and develop corrective actions.
• Balance design considerations such as functionality, sustainability, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, and aesthetics.
