Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer multiple retail fixtures simultaneously, including tables, walls, displays, and other furniture elements, utilizing an ODM development model.
- Guide external vendors through the design and development process to achieve program objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to refine fixture aesthetics, customer experience, functionality, and overall design intent.
- Validate designs for mass production through manufacturing data, reliability testing, stress analysis, failure analysis, and tolerance studies.
- Develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts with external vendors.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and collaborative problem-solving activities.
- Present technical solutions and design recommendations to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Travel domestically and internationally to vendor and installation sites to support implementation and investigate field issues.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of solid mechanics and material properties.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with metal manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Experience conducting root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Background supporting product design through manufacturing and production ramp.
- Experience in analytical engineering environments outside traditional retail or furniture industries is welcomed.
