Job summary

Actalent in Blair, NE is seeking a Product Design Engineer to execute the PDD process from concept through production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective, manufacturable, and high-quality product solutions while meeting safety and engineering standards.

The role focuses on mechanical design, use of Solidworks and AutoCAD, and managing BOMs for industrial equipment projects.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 2 years of design for manufacturing experience.
• Experience in industrial equipment design.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Product Design and Development (PDD) process from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective, manufacturable product solutions.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and engineering standards throughout the design and development process.
• Utilize Solidworks, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling to create product designs.
• Engage in new product development and industrial equipment design.
• Create and manage bills of materials (BOM) for projects.
