About the role

The AI Infrastructure Experiences team designs tooling and platforms that power Meta’s AI efforts, including model authoring, training, experimentation, deployment, and debugging. This work supports Meta’s AI priorities, including recommendations, Ads ranking, Generative AI (Llama), research, and more. As a Product Design Engineer, you'll influence product strategy, user experience design, and UI engineering.

Responsibilities

1. Define product strategy for AI development tools, covering all stages of model development and deployment.
2. Contribute to product design, specifying how our AI tooling looks and operates in a complex, technical space.
3. Contribute front-end code and collaborate with engineers and designers to launch new tooling capabilities.
4. Work with UX research to understand user issues and identify new opportunities for tooling assistance.
5. Support the development of cutting-edge models like Llama 4 and beyond.

Minimum Qualifications

1. 6+ years of experience with interaction design.
2. 6+ years of experience with front-end engineering.
3. 6+ years of experience with product strategy.
4. 6+ years of experience with UI design.

Preferred Qualifications

1. High-level familiarity with modern AI systems.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $165,000 to $231,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and location.
