Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Job Title: Product Design Engineer

Location: Jacksonville, AR on-site

Salary - $90k-$115k DOE

Requirements: BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related role. 5yrs experience in mechanical design, Solidworks/3DCAD

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative product designs that meet customer requirements while ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life through effective design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product designs using SolidWorks and other design tools.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production.
• Conduct design validation and testing to ensure product functionality and durability.
• Create technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing processes.
• Participate in product lifecycle management activities to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Utilize design for manufacturing (DFM) principles to enhance product efficiency and reduce costs.
• Work with materials science to select appropriate materials for product development.
• Engage in prototyping and 3D modeling to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
• Support product development initiatives by providing engineering insights and recommendations.
• Conduct simulations to assess product performance under various conditions.
  
  

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (industrial, Manufacturing, etc etc)
• 5yrs exp mechanical/product design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• SolidWorks, CAD software.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Familiarity with prototyping techniques and 3D modeling.
• Understanding of materials science and its application in product design.
• Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with FEA or other simulation tools
• Experience with any ventalation systems or HVAC products is a plus
• Lean nmanufacturing or Six Sgma certifications are also a plus
