Job summary

EK Machine is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to design new or modified products using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or GED.

The designer will prepare drawings, calculate performance criteria, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure cost-effective production. Strong drafting skills and proficiency with MS Office are essential for documenting specifications and communicating project progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–5 years related experience or training preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and drafting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to read technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Design new or special products and modifications, using CAD tools.
• Prepare sketches, drawings and specifications for layouts and layouts.
• Analyze manufacturing and material costs to maintain competitiveness.
• Follow up on construction and testing of projects and analyze results.
• Perform redesigns with guidance when required.
