Job summary

Infotech is seeking a UX/UI Designer to elevate user experience across our public infrastructure platforms and the Causeway design system. You will work with product managers, engineers, and a multidisciplinary team to craft interfaces that balance craft and user empathy.

Ideal candidates have a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design for complex B2B SaaS, hands-on Figma proficiency, and experience contributing to scalable design systems with AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

What you’ll do

As our UX/UI Designer, you’ll execute our UX vision and uphold a high craft bar across our full product suite, including the modernization of AASHTOWare Project (AWP), one of the most widely used platforms in public infrastructure delivery. You’ll contribute to Causeway, our design system, creating components and refining patterns as it scales across every surface we ship. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineering leads, and a multi-disciplinary design team, bringing AI‑assisted tools into daily practice to raise the floor for the whole team while keeping craft and user empathy at the center of every decision.

What you bring

• 3–5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, product designer, or interaction designer


• A strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end product design, user research integration, and refined visual craft


• Experience contributing to a design system at scale, embedded as a continuous input into agile, sprint‑based development


• Hands‑on proficiency in Figma, including team library management and component governance


• Experience designing for complex, multi‑persona B2B/enterprise SaaS products


• Personal, hands‑on fluency with AI‑assisted design or prototyping tools, with real production use you can speak to

Nice to have

• Experience in construction, civil engineering, GovTech, or another regulated, standards‑driven B2B vertical


• Familiarity with public‑sector or standards‑body‑governed product constraints


• Experience with design‑ops platforms and accessibility tooling beyond Figma


• Experience building prompt libraries or design‑system‑aware AI tooling adopted by other teams
