Job summary

Google is hiring for a gTech Ads role to support customers across our Ad products stack. The team collaborates with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver bespoke and scalable media and technical solutions.

The role focuses on translating complex customer needs into actionable technical designs, guiding implementation, and ensuring strong client outcomes on a global scale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales and engagement managers to understand customer marketing objectives and pain points.
  • Lead technical assessment sessions to uncover bespoke solutions and data constraints.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and designs for scalability.
  • Provide technical-product oversight during implementation, aligning with customer strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional gTech teams to ensure seamless service delivery and outcomes.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
Preferred qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • 8 years of experience with data analysis and SQL/MySQL.
  • 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 8 years of experience working with Unix or Linux operating systems/commands.
  • Experience working with Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform products (e.g., SA360, DV360, GA4), or Google Cloud services.

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience.   • Partner with sales and engagement managers to understand customer marketing objectives, infrastructure, first-party data management strategy, and pain points.
  • Lead in-depth technical assessment/consultation sessions to uncover opportunities where bespoke solutions are required, ensuring solutions respect industry-specific data constraints and business cycles.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into clear technical specifications and solution designs, considering scalability, reusability, and best practices as well as a clear path to media activation.
  • Provide technical-product oversight during the implementation phase, ensuring the engineering build remains aligned with the original customer strategy, while delegating base code-level and system-building decisions to the Engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional gTech teams (e.g., Engineering teams, Solution Experts, Measurement Experts) to orchestrate bundled service delivery and ensure seamless customer outcomes.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • US: $152000 - $221000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
