The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports per company policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate the company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF forms.

This role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, although the company may change the role based on business and client needs.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in using and navigating personal computers or mobile devices with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food Handlers permit may be required.
• Physical Demands: The associate will regularly stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
• Work Environment: Retail store environment; limited travel.
• Physical Appearance: Must maintain a professional, neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance in accordance with the retailer dress code.
• Language Skills: English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
