Why We Need You

The Delivery Manager drives the successful execution of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring our product and engineering pods deliver high-quality features on time. This role goes beyond scheduling — it’s about chasing down blockers, managing shifting priorities, and setting clear expectations with stakeholders. Acting as the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, QA, and Design, the Delivery Manager owns sprint delivery, reporting, and transparency across the organization.

Role Responsibilities
  • SDLC & Delivery Ownership — Own delivery across two engineering pods, ensuring stories and epics move smoothly from concept to deployment
  • Actively chase blockers, reassign resources, and adjust timelines to keep sprints on track
  • Align priorities with Product, Engineering, and Leadership; reset expectations when plans shift
  • Ensure proper documentation is added to epics, stories, and objectives at each stage.
  • Epic & Story Refinement — Partner with Product and Pod Leads to refine epics into actionable user stories
  • Validate technical readiness in Pre-Dev Refinement sessions before work moves forward. Make informed calls on whether stories are ready to enter sprint planning.
  • Ceremonies & Continuous Improvement — Lead grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and working sessions
  • Ensure sprint budgets and velocity are respected and realistic
  • Track sprint execution daily, coordinating with engineers, QA, and Product to resolve slowdowns
  • Turn retrospectives into actionable process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Bridge communication across Product, Engineering, QA, and Design to ensure transparency. Partner with QA on testing transitions, regression handling, and release readiness. Prepare release notes for the wider organization to highlight progress and new features.
  • Analytics & Reporting — Use SQL or other query tools to analyze sprint performance
  • Report on: What was completed vs. delayed; Why deadlines were missed; What outside work entered the sprint; What resources are needed for timely delivery.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership based on data
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience in software delivery, product operations, or program management
  • Software background required (startup experience nice-to-have but not critical)
  • Must be able to work East Coast hours
  • Proven ability to manage delivery across at least two engineering pods
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems (Shortcut required; Jira experience a strong bonus)
  • Strong reporting and analytics skills with proficiency in SQL or other query languages
Our Values
  • Accountability: We take our responsibilities seriously and always stay transparent
  • Student Mentality: Continuous learning and growth are at our core
  • Driven: We strive to exceed expectations. We aim for excellence in everything we do
  • Fairness: We’re committed to equitable treatment for everyone
  • Great Stewards: We manage our resources and relationships with care and responsibility
  • Fun and Fearless: We face challenges with a positive and bold spirit. We challenge each other, the status quo, and “how it’s always been done”

The total compensation for this role is $100,000–$130,000, based on experience.
