Job summary

Google is seeking a Product Data Scientist for Google Ads in Mountain View, CA, or New York, NY. You will act as an analytics expert, transforming data into actionable business decisions and communicating insights to engineering and product teams.

The role focuses on the Advertiser Platform products, building tooling, datasets, and insights to improve key metrics for scaled Google Ads products, including Performance Max and campaign automation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of work experience with analysis applications (extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems), and coding (Python, R, SQL) (or 2 years work experience with a Master's degree).

Responsibilities

• Perform investigations into fundamental business and product strategy questions using unstructured data (e.g. logs) and advertiser behavior analysis.
• Design, execute, and evaluate complex experiments to measure impact of product changes on advertiser performance.
• Create and steward robust reporting frameworks and KPIs that capture impact for Google's business and advertisers.
• Translate analytical findings into clear business strategies that anticipate future market trends.
