Block is seeking a Product Data Scientist to build, measure, and improve credit products across Borrow, Afterpay, Square Loans and more. You will partner with product, engineering, and risk to define metrics, run experiments, and turn questions into decisions.

This agentic data science role uses AI tools and agent workflows to move faster, stress-test hypotheses, and deliver durable insights for leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience OR graduate degree with 6-8+ years in a relevant role.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and the ability to build clear, decision-oriented data visualizations.
• Experience using AI tools to improve speed, quality, and durability of analytical work.

Aufgaben

• Turn complex product, customer, and risk data into insights and decision frameworks.
• Define and maintain measurement frameworks for credit products and outcomes.
• Partner with risk teams to evaluate model and policy performance and connect decisions to business impact.
• Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders including senior decision-makers.
• Lead technical direction and establish reusable data science frameworks.
• Collaborate across Lending products with product, engineering, and risk teams.
• Mentor and grow the Data Science team through hiring and calibration.
