Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Inventory Maintenance support role in Springfield, MO. You will load new item data, ensure accuracy of part numbers, and maintain item dimensions for distribution centers, collaborating with Category Managers and suppliers.

The role requires 1+ years in a corporate setting, strong Excel/data-entry skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while remaining reliable and detail-focused.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• 1+ years’ experience working in a corporate setting.
• Ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong data entry skills.
• Punctual and reliable with accountability; must be a self-starter who motivates a team.

Responsibilities

• Load all required information for new items in the item master, including part numbers, descriptions, units, and dimensions.
• Ensure all part number information is up to date and accurate.
• Load item dimensions and weights for WMS DCs and update existing dimensions when provided by suppliers.
• Address quality issues reported by stores and DCs, initiating recalls and catalog corrections as needed.
• Oversee discontinued/removal requests submitted by Category Managers and suppliers.
• Monitor label and UPC issues and document labor costs for supplier incursions.
• Prepare label projects for Inventory Control and communicate accurate label information to DCs.
• Serve as a backup for other Product Technicians as needed.
• Coordinate sample requests with Springfield distribution center for Merchandise Category Managers and Directors.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly inventory tasks on schedule; support additional projects from Inventory Maintenance Manager.
• Occasionally visit Springfield DC and stores to review product concerns with approval.
• All other duties as assigned.
