Job summary

Skydio is seeking a Product Counsel to join its world-class Legal team. The role spans IP, compliance, and commercial matters and requires partnering with software engineering, marketing, and business teams to shape current and future products.

You will develop product legal strategy, serve as go-to counsel for marketing, product, and software engineering, and help build scalable processes to automate work and improve self-service while becoming an expert in Skydio flying robots.

Qualifications

• Holds a JD and is admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years in-house generalist or product counsel experience.
• Experience with both hardware and software; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, marketing, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Advise on product legal strategy across all Skydio products.
• Go-to counsel for select teams like marketing, product, and software engineering.
• Develop processes to automate, encourage self-service, and scale legal work.
