Job summary

Bentley Systems seeks an experienced Product Counsel to integrate legal and regulatory thinking into product planning. You will partner with Product and Technology leaders to shape roadmaps while protecting the company’s interests across global software offerings.

You will monitor evolving regulations, balance risk with commercial objectives, and help Bentley innovate responsibly in a complex, matrixed organization. This is a hybrid, full-time role based in Exton/Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree with active bar membership in good standing and minimum 8 years of legal experience.
• In-house experience at a technology, SaaS, or engineering/infrastructure software company.
• Experience supporting global software products across privacy, IP, AI governance, cybersecurity, and licensing.
• Strong business judgment and ability to translate complex issues into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as embedded Product Counsel across the product lifecycle and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product and Technology leadership to translate strategy into legal decisions.
• Monitor emerging regulations and industry developments affecting Bentley's products.
• Provide practical, scalable legal guidance to enable fast, compliant product delivery.
