Job summary

GE Vernova International LLC is seeking a Product Cost Out Manager to drive structural cost reduction across the product lifecycle. You will bridge Sourcing and Engineering/Product Design, identifying and executing cost-out opportunities without compromising quality or performance.

You will lead cross-functional workshops, use should-cost modeling, and track savings against P&L, with a focus on delivering measurable margin improvements and process standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8+ years in product costing, value engineering, procurement, or product design.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (Forgings, machining, investment casting, fabrication).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering and Commodity teams to integrate cost control principles into product/project development.
• Lead workshops to generate cost-reduction ideas (materials substitution, design simplification, process improvements).
• Manage end-to-end execution of cost-out projects with tracking, risk mitigation and savings validation.
• Utilize Should-Cost modeling to establish target costs for components and assemblies.
• Monitor cost-out metrics and maintain dashboards for savings realization.
• Collaborate with Sourcing to engage suppliers in value engineering initiatives.
• Develop and standardize the cost-out process and financial validation.
