Product Compliance Engineer (Remote)

Ride into your next career move with Polaris! Polaris has partnered with Doherty for over a decade to hire great employees! We are looking to hire a Product Compliance Engineer. This is a remote role and a 6-month contract opportunity.

Polaris' Product Compliance team is at the forefront of ensuring our industry-leading vehicles meet global regulatory standards and brand quality expectations. We are looking for a Product Compliance Engineer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining product certifications, tracking global regulations, and supporting product development in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Obtain and maintain regulatory certifications for Polaris products, including emissions, noise, vehicle safety, electrical systems, and battery safety.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as EPA, CARB, ANSI, UL, NHTSA, US Forest Service, Transport Canada, EU type approval, and other global standards.
  • Support engineering R&D efforts to ensure compliance is built into new product designs.
  • Prepare compliance documentation for stage-gate Product Development Process (PDP) reviews.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to achieve timely product launches.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and third-party certification authorities.
  • Monitor, interpret, and implement new global product compliance regulations.
  • Maintain and develop compliance processes and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2+ years of experience in product compliance, preferably in the automotive or powersports industry.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering product compliance testing, validation, and certification processes.
  • Experience working within stage-gate product development processes (PDP).
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to key stakeholders.
  • Project management experience; PMP, CAPM, or similar certification preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to high ethical standards.
  • Expertise in EPA, CARB, ANSI, UL, NHTSA, EU type approvals, and other regulatory bodies.
