Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Product Coach to join our team. The role provides hands-on coaching to product owners and delivery teams to improve collaboration, predictability, and outcomes using observations, retrospectives, and metrics.

You will strengthen discovery practices, support outcome-based prioritization, and partner with leadership to advance agile transformation. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of product coaching experience in a software/digital environment are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
• 3+ years previous product coaching experience, helping teams shift from output to outcome-based deliverables.
• Experience working in a software/digital product development environment.
• Solid understanding of product discovery best practices.
• Proven experience defining and measuring success of coaching effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio and Team-level coaching to improve collaboration, predictability, and outcomes.
• Observe team work to identify improvement opportunities using retrospectives and metrics.
• Coach product owners on backlog strategy, outcome-based prioritization, and roadmap clarity.
• Reinforce value over output by linking work to customer and business outcomes.
• Help teams use flow and outcomes metrics to inform tradeoffs.
• Tell a clear value story through roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Drive discovery excellence with problem framing, hypothesis-driven discovery, and experimentation.
• Translate discovery insights into actionable delivery decisions.
• Support agile transformation and data-driven reporting at team, portfolio, and organizational levels.
