Job summary

ODP Business Solutions, a leading partner-focused group, seeks a Product Champion to drive revenue and gross profit for select vendor products in a fast-paced environment. You will interact with sales teams and partners to present technical solutions addressing customer problems and opportunities.

You will develop training, promote initiatives, and support pre-sales activities while building strong relationships and ensuring profitable forecasts through collaboration across marketing,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience in sales or sales support preferred (3–5 years).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Be an Expert: answer questions about vendor products, partner programs and services.
  • Promote: champion products and incentives to maximize profitability and forecasts.
  • Communicate: deliver vendor initiatives and product promotions to sales teams; sync with marketing/purchasing.
  • Support: run customer-facing or sales enablement programs to boost partner sales.
  • Sell: collaborate with sales and partners to pursue opportunities and hit GP goals.
  • Present: develop and deliver sales training and support partner events.

Job description

As a Product Champion, you represent and manage revenue and gross profit goals for ODP Business Solution top partner in a fast-paced environment. Your interactions with the sales teams and partners will provide you the ability to present technical solutions that solve our customer’s business problems. Primary Responsibilities
  • Be an Expert-
    • You will have expertise to answer Insight teammates’ and clients’ questions related to assigned particular vendor products, partner programs, services and overall environment.
    • You will have solutions to resolve the client's or ODP Business Solutions teammates’ business problems.
  • Promote-
    • You will champion products from a particular vendor, incentive programs, and activities for the sales team to maximize profitability and organize sales forecasts.
    • How do you do this? By building and maintaining strong relationships with our sales’ teams and the partner.
  • Communicate-
    • You will deliver predetermined vendor initiatives and product promotions to the ODP Business Solutions sales team as well as update them on sales numbers and activities.
    • You will work with marketing and purchasing to give the client the optimal products for their success.
    • Devise marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing product awareness and increasing sales and profits.
  • Support-
    • Customer-facing or sales enablement programs used to increase partner sales and/or adoption.
    • Prepare and present complex hardware/software/services solutions to client Partners.
  • Sell-
    • You will collaborate with the sales team and the partners for opportunities and solutions for the client. You will be responsible for overall GP goals, providing updated performance pipelines, and answer pre-sales technical questions or help close deals.
  • Present-
    • You will provide, develop and deliver sales training programs to client Customers and support partner-sponsored events and sales programs
    • Deliver program updates to partners, and support partner events such as floor, blitz days, and focus weeks.
Education and Experience
  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Area of Study: Merchandising, Marketing, IT Security, Sales and Solutions
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related field
  • Type of Experience: Sales, Sales Support
  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems
    • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Tools
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong understanding of the dynamics of cross-functional teams, with the ability to creatively problem solve
    • Successful history of building and maintaining internal and external partner relationships at all levels.
    • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
