US07956The Opportunity

Under the work direction of the Inventory Control Manager, the Product Central Specialist verifies the accuracy of the physical product in stock against the Inventory Management System. Audits and reconciles discrepancies in Inbound and Outbound. Conducts exit audits, row counts and cycle counts of product in the warehouse. Responsible for receipt, inventory management and liquidation of merchant and vendor samples.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Counts physical stock at location in the warehouse as needed due to discrepancies and established inventory row counting practices.
  • May require counts of all alternative product locations if warehouse quantity does not match system count.
  • At location, verifies actual quantity, sku numbers, product, and location labeling.
  • Will row count all locations at least once a year to verify accuracy in accordance with inventory accounting guidelines.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other related activities as assigned.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enters stock adjustments resulting from row and cycle count discrepancies, damaged products, mis-ID’s, etc., into the Inventory Management System up to established levels of authority.
  • Documents all error findings on the appropriate form/log.
  • Completes all information required by sheet such as sku number, system quantity, order quantity, reason for discrepancy, etc.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience: 3+ years related warehouse or retail experience operating power equipment and using computerized Inventory Management systems.

Previous experience and certification using warehouse equipment such as Work Savers, Reach Trucks and Order Pickers is helpful!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Attention to detail is critical in documenting errors and cycle counting locations.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to access and enter information using an automated system.
  • Ability to lift cartons/totes/product weighing up to 50 lbs or with assistance for over 50 lbs. Must be able to conduct oral presentations.
  • Maintain attendance as defined by company policy
