Job description
Overview

Our leading SaaS-based Global Employment Platform enables clients to expand into over 180 countries quickly and efficiently, without the complexities of establishing local entities. At G-P, we’re dedicated to breaking down barriers to global business and creating opportunities for everyone, everywhere.

Our diverse, remote-first teams are essential to our success. We empower our Dream Team members with flexibility and resources, fostering an environment where innovation thrives and every contribution is valued and celebrated.

The work you do here will positively impact lives around the world. We stand by our promise: Opportunity Made Possible. In addition to competitive compensation and benefits, we invite you to join us in expanding your skills and helping to reshape the future of work.

At G-P, we assist organizations in building exceptional global teams in days, not months—streamlining the hiring, onboarding, and management process to unlock growth potential for all. G-P helps organizations build global teams in minutes, not months. As part of this mission, we’ve created an indispensable AI agent for HR leaders, G-P Gia. Gia is our AI-powered global HR agent that provides HR compliance guidance instantly. Built on over a decade of global employment and legal expertise and 100,000+ vetted articles, Gia analyzes and generates compliant documents and delivers the answers that HR leaders trust — reducing reliance on outside legal counsel and cutting compliance costs by up to 95%.

About the position:

We’re hiring a principal-level builder—someone who can interview a user at 9, sketch flows in Figma at noon, and ship the API + UI by end of day. You’ll work directly with the founding team of GIA to take our AI HR & Legal copilot from 0→1 (and beyond). This is an IC role with outsized ownership and leadership influence.

If you identify as a product-minded engineer, designer-who-codes, or technical product lead (IC), you’ll feel at home.

What you’ll do
  • Design with taste: wireframes → hi-fi flows → pragmatic design system decisions (Figma).
  • Build full-stack: React/Next.js on the front, Node/Go/Python on the back, instrumented with auth, analytics, QA, and launch gates.
  • Lead without title: create momentum, align stakeholders, unblock decisions, and raise the quality bar across product, design, and code.
  • Ship AI features: rapid protos with LLMs/agents/tools; evaluate with real users; iterate ruthlessly.
  • Make it measurable: define success metrics, add telemetry, and close the loop with insights.
What you’ll bring
  • 0→1 track record building and shipping end-to-end products in scrappy, high-velocity environments (startup, personal venture, or skunkworks).
  • Product: you can run lean discovery, write crisp PRDs/MVP scopes, and say no well.
  • Design: you independently create tasteful flows, states, and interaction details in Figma.
  • Engineering: you implement full-stack features and own the path to production.
  • Leadership by influence: you rally people, make calls with incomplete data, and hold the bar.
  • Communication with spine: clear, opinionated, and open to being persuaded by data.
  • Bonus: shipped AI/LLM features (agents, tooling, evals, retrieval, safety).
Signals we’re looking for
  • 2 links that show both design and code:
  • Figma or product video for something you designed.
  • GitHub or a live app you built (note your exact role + decisions).
First 90 days outcomes
  • Ship a needle-moving MVP/feature to users with clear success metrics.
  • Establish a lightweight design system and a product+eng iteration loop (discovery → build → measure).
  • Level up our AI product velocity (prototyping patterns, prompt/eval hygiene, guardrails).
  • Become the quality bar for UX, product decisions, and code pragmatism.
Interview process
  • Founder Intro (30m): role fit, ambition, working style.
  • Portfolio/Build Review (30m): walk us through one shipped product (design + code).
  • 20m discovery (we give a messy problem; you drive)
  • 25m Figma flow/wire (you screenshare)
  • 35m build a thin slice (front/back stub; show how you’d ship)
  • 10m metrics & iteration plan
  • Product/Design Sense (30m): taste, trade-offs, and decision quality.
  • Engineering Vetting (30m): practical coding & architecture discussion.
  • Sense & Sensibility (30m): how you lead without authority; anti-fragility under pressure.
  • Leadership Sign-off (30m): values, communication, and bar-raising.
  • Impact: Founder-like scope, IC execution.
  • Ownership: Direct say in product, design, and engineering decisions.
  • Team: Small, ambitious, biased to action.
  • Momentum: Your work ships to real customers fast.

You’ll love this if you’re a builder who refuses to choose between product, design, and code — and you want leadership scope without the management track.

Nice to have
  • Experience with LLM agents/tools, eval suites, retrieval, safety/guardrails.
  • B2B workflows, HR/Legal domains, or compliance-sensitive products.
  • Created a design system or component library that survived production.

We will consider for employment all qualified applicants who meet the inherent requirements for the position. Please note that background checks are required, and this may include criminal record checks.
