Job description

Georgia-Pacific's EHS & Learning IT team is seeking a Product Builder to create field-ready, mobile-first technology used by factory workers and operators. This role combines product discovery and hands-on build partnership into one accountable owner, moving from validated field problems to working software without unnecessary handoffs.

As the bridge between EHS capability owners, frontline users, and DevOps engineers, the Product Builder uses approved AI-assisted tooling to accelerate discovery, requirements, prototyping, estimation, and backlog decisions. Success in this role is measured by outcomes delivered, product adoption, and value created, not by documents produced.

This role is based in Atlanta, GA and expectation is 3 days in office per week (hybrid).

Our Team

The EHS & Learning IT team supports technology capabilities that help Georgia-Pacific operations stay safe, compliant, and productive. The role sits within the Enterprise Capabilities (ESP) portfolio and partners closely with business capability owners, frontline operators, and engineering teams to build practical solutions for the field.

What You Will Do
  • Shape field problems with EHS stakeholders and frontline users, using What Good Looks Like (WGLL) framing to clarify outcomes and make validated product decisions
  • Convert validated decisions into working prototypes and production-ready mobile capabilities in partnership with DevOps engineers
  • Use approved AI-assisted tools to accelerate discovery, requirements, triage, estimation, prototyping, and backlog refinement while applying judgment to what should be built
  • Create functional specifications, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria that enable engineering teams to build with minimal rework or follow-up clarification
  • Maintain an outcome-oriented backlog tied to business value, adoption, cost-to-value, and total cost of ownership
  • Evaluate which EHS capabilities should build, scale, host, or retire based on evidence from users, adoption, and value measurement
  • Support mobile-first solution areas such as safety observations, audits, inspections, incident and hazard reporting, permit-to-work, LOTO, JSA workflows, environmental data capture, regulatory reporting, mobile learning, qualifications delivery, and offline-capable field data collection
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in a product, business analysis, systems analysis, technology delivery, or comparable role translating business needs into software outcomes
  • Experience conducting stakeholder discovery, requirements elicitation, or outcome framing with business partners and end users
  • Experience creating functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, or similar build-ready product documentation
  • Experience owning, refining, or prioritizing a backlog in an Agile delivery environment
  • Hands-on experience with approved AI-assisted tools and partner closely with engineers to move from discovery into prototyping and build
  • Willing and able to travel up top 20% to manufacturing sites as needed
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Hands-on use of AI-assisted analysis, prototyping, estimation, or software development tools in a production or delivery environment
  • Experience using collaboration or delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Smartsheet, Microsoft 365, Teams, or SharePoint
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, low-code tools, wireframing, or mobile product design
  • Experience co-building solutions with engineers from sandbox or prototype through production deployment
  • Experience in integrations, data flows, APIs, configuration decisions, or custom-build tradeoffs
  • Experience prioritizing product backlogs based on business value, adoption data, total cost of ownership, or cost-to-value measures
  • Experience designing field, web, or mobile solutions, including offline-capable workflows
  • Experience with EHS, HR, compliance, learning, or other regulated business domains
  • Experience with AWS, SaaS/cloud platforms, Power BI, or Tableau
