Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Clayton, NC is seeking an Assembler to follow documented procedures and assemble parts with attention to quality and safety. You will apply lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement, using power tools and lifting devices to assemble products.

Description

As an Assembler at Caterpillar, you will follow documented procedures to safely assemble and adjust parts and components while ensuring defect-free production. In this role, you will apply lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and eliminate waste, and you will use industrial power tools as well as lifting devices to assemble products and move heavy components.

Physical Requirements

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
• Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds

Basic Requirements

Minimum of 9 months of previous work experience and/or volunteer experience. Resume strongly preferred. Applicants should include a complete work history or attach a resume. Blank applications without work history or a resume may result in disqualification.

Top Candidates will also have

• Manufacturing experience
• Heavy equipment or machine assembly experience
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, or technical drawings.
