Job summary

The Gund Company is seeking a Product Applications Engineer - Generator to join our Business Development team at our Amsterdam, NY facility. This role focuses on providing technical expertise for generator market applications and delivering engineered solutions to customers.

Primary responsibilities include acting as SME for customer applications, supporting new product development, and creating technical content to showcase capabilities. Requires a B.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 1-3 years in engineering, applications engineering, product engineering, or technical sales with strong technical aptitude.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into internal capabilities.
• Position is subject to ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for customer applications and communicate how products meet requirements.
• Support new product development from research through planning and implementation.
• Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical video, webinar, application engineering profile, etc.) to promote technical expertise.

The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a Product Applications Engineer - Generator to join our Business Development team!

This is NOT a Computer Software Engineer position

Annual Salary: $85,000+ (DOE)

Plant/Work Location: 200 Wallins Corner Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010

Market/Value Stream: Generator

Training: 3-6 months

Travel: 25-50%

Candidate must have US citizenship or active Green Card

We are currently seeking an Product Applications Engineer - Generator to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters located in St. Louis, MO.

Job Summary

The Product Applications Engineer provides technical expertise for generator market applications, supports customers with engineered solutions, and bridges customer needs with product development initiatives.

Job Duties

• Serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications with an ability tocommunicate to internal and external stakeholders in how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements.
• Support new product development projects from research, through planning and implementation.
• Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical video, webinar, application engineering profile, etc.) to promote our technical expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 1-3 years of engineering, applications engineering, product engineering, or technical sales experience; strong technical aptitude and drive.
• Ability to understand customer’s application requirements and translate that into understanding internal capability development.
• Position is subject to meeting ITAR requirements.

Preferred

• Electrical, plastics, composites, or elastomeric materials experience
• Experience supporting industrial, power generation, or OEM markets
• Customer-facing technical experience
• CRM experience preferred
