Sun Technologies in Orlando, FL is seeking a Product and Services Contract Administrator for a 12‑month contract at a pay rate of $40/hr. You will manage the administration, performance, and growth of non-regulated products and services, overseeing contracts, vendor relationships, and project execution to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

The role requires coordinating with internal teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with strategic goals, and serving as the liaison

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or related field and strong understanding of procurement.
  • Minimum five years in procurement/contract administration with negotiation experience.
  • Experience in utility contracts and supplier relationships preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate, execute, and administer contracts for non-regulated products and services.
  • Monitor contract performance, SLAs, pricing, renewals, amendments, and expirations.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and Risk Management as needed for disputes.
  • Oversee portfolio including Indoor Lighting Solutions, EV charging infrastructure, and emerging energy tech.

Job Description

Responsible for the administration, performance, and growth of the utility’s non-regulated products and services portfolio. This role oversees contracts, vendor relationships, financial performance, project execution, and customer satisfaction while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with organizational strategic goals. The Contract Manager serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, customers, contractors, and vendors to successfully deliver energy solutions that generate revenue and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Contract Management
  • Develop, negotiate, execute, and administer contracts for non-regulated products and services.
  • Ensure contract compliance with company policies, legal requirements, procurement standards, and regulatory guidelines. Monitor contract performance, service level agreements (SLAs), pricing, renewals, amendments, and expirations.
  • Resolve contract disputes and coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and Risk Management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and records.
  • Product & Service Portfolio Management Manage the lifecycle and performance of non-regulated products and services, including:
  • Indoor Lighting Solutions and Rebates
  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure
  • Emerging energy technologies and customer energy solutions Responsibilities include:
  • Identifying growth opportunities.
  • Developing business cases and pricing strategies.
  • Monitoring product profitability and customer adoption.
  • Recommending new products and service enhancements.
  • Vendor Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Establish vendor performance metrics and monitor quality, safety, schedule, and cost.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate issue resolution and corrective actions.
  • Ensure vendors comply with safety, insurance, licensing, and contractual obligations.
  • Project Management
  • Oversee implementation of customer projects from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate internal departments including Engineering, Operations, Construction, Customer Service, Finance, Procurement, and Legal.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and customer expectations.
  • Financial Management
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for assigned programs.
  • Monitor revenues, expenses, profitability, and return on investment.
  • Review invoices, contract payments, and financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and performance reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer issues.
  • Build long-term relationships with commercial, municipal, and institutional customers.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to identify customer needs and recommend energy solutions.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout project delivery.
  • Business Development
  • Identify opportunities to expand non-regulated services.
  • Support sales initiatives and strategic marketing efforts.
  • Develop partnerships that increase customer participation and revenue.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting
  • Develop KPIs to measure:
  • Revenue growth
  • Contract performance
  • Project completion
  • Budget performance
  • Prepare executive dashboards and management reports.
  • Present recommendations to leadership.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, utility regulations, procurement requirements, and applicable laws.
  • Identify operational and contractual risks.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements.
  • Implement best practices for contract administration and vendor management.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including CRM and contract management systems.
  • Lead process improvement efforts that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
  • Familiarity with all, but not limited to, the following:
  • Software Applications to include: Customer Information Systems (i.e. Customer Care & Billing), Tungsten Workflow (AP/invoice processing network), Documentum (enterprise content management system) or similar applications;
  • Analytical and organizational abilities;
  • Excellent writing skills (contract terms and language);
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills; -Strong financial, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and contract management software.
  • Ability to:
    • Think creatively in solving problems and making effective decisions;
    • Calculate contract escalator ratios given industry recognized market indexes;
    • Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages;
    • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.).
Experience Required:
  • Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:
    • Business contracts and procurement for electric and water utility systems;
    • Software Applications to include: Salesforce, CCB, Hubble, JD-Edwards (for requisitions and supplier financial records) or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint or similar applications;
    • Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and public procurement laws;
Education Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study from an accredited college or university;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement as a buyer or contract administration involving contract specifications, negotiating, and monitoring compliance of existing contracts;
  • Experience in the utility industry, preferred;
  • Experience managing commercial contracts and supplier relationships
