Job summary

Oetiker Group, based in Batavia, NY, seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to support evaluation, validation, and documentation of new and existing processes. You will program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC operations within a cross-functional team to deliver robust, high-quality components.

Responsibilities include creating PFMEA and Process Flow Diagrams, leading process improvements, and maintaining detailed work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience in a CNC setting.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software; ESPRIT preferred.
• Release machines, tools, and processes.
• Prepare process documentation (work instructions, box counts, operator training).
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop PFMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities and optimize production methods.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve quality.

Job Description

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000

Position Summary

Support the evaluation, validation, and documentation of new and existing processes. Will also be responsible for providing support to the CNC department by programming, set-up, and troubleshooting.

Essential Functions

• CNC programming utilizing CAD/CAM software; preferably ESPRIT
• Responsible for released machines, tools, and processes
• Provide process documentation (work instructions, box counts, operator training documents, etc.)
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop PFMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow Diagrams
• Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities and potential changes in production methods
• Drive continuous improvement of existing processes to reduce waste

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Must be able to work in a team setting
• Experience with automated machinery
• Analytical, able to solve complex technical problems
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Experience with Solidworks and/or equivalent 3d modeling software
• PFMEA, PFD, and control plan experience

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ manufacturing experience in a CNC setting
