Job summary

Oetiker offers a Product and Process Engineer role focused on CNC programming within a manufacturing environment in Batavia, NY. The candidate will support evaluation, validation, and documentation of new and existing processes, and assist the CNC department with programming, setup, and troubleshooting.

Essential functions include CNC programming (CAD/CAM, ESPRIT preferred), releasing machines/tools, documenting processes, and leading PFMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow Diagrams.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a team setting.
• Experience with automated machinery.
• Analytical, able to solve complex technical problems.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with SolidWorks and/or equivalent 3D modeling software.
• PFMEA, PFD, and control plan experience.

Responsibilities

• CNC programming utilizing CAD/CAM software; preferably ESPRIT
• Responsible for released machines, tools, and processes
• Provide process documentation (work instructions, box counts, operator training documents, etc.)
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop PFMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow Diagrams
• Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities and potential changes in production methods
• Drive continuous improvement of existing processes to reduce waste

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000

Position Summary

Support the evaluation, validation, and documentation of new and existing processes. Will also be responsible for providing support to the CNC department by programming, set-up, and troubleshooting.
