Job summary

HUB International is hiring a Producer for the Employee Benefits team in a hybrid Fairfield, CT office. You will drive sales, qualify leads, present proposals, and maintain strong client relationships.

Travel locally to visit clients is required, and a Producer Broker’s license or willingness to obtain one is expected. The role emphasizes collaboration with support staff, cross-selling insurance lines, and delivering tailored programs.

We currently have an opportunity for a Producer to join our Employee Benefits team in our Fairfield, CT office on a Hybrid work schedule.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with individuals and company objectives.
• Identify, develop, and qualify new prospects.
• Qualify and handle leads generated by the company.
• Ensure timely entry of prospects into sales database.
• Contact prospects to set appointment and gain information
• Prepare and/or present proposals to prospects and clients.
• Develop and perpetuate a loyal customer base in relation to geographic and market considerations.
• Interface with company support staff to review accounts, helping to determine multi-year strategy, annual service plan etc., and to otherwise assist in the timely and efficient processing of business.
• Coordinate ongoing service for existing accounts with Account Support staff.
• Collaborate with staff to design and maintain appropriate insurance programs for existing accounts.
• Ensure the preparation of accurate and complete applications on new and renewal business.
• Collaborate on preparation of quotes for new and renewal lines of business.
• Cross-sell lines of business for all the company’s capabilities.
• Assume ultimate responsibility for retaining existing accounts.
• Be primary contact with clients for problems of all sorts, significant coverage concerns, and collections.
• Keep informed of changes and trends within the industry for the purpose of anticipating and responding to profit objectives
• Conduct business in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of both the business and earnings implications of the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in sales of intangible products.
• Ability to identify potential clients and initiate contact.
• Producer Broker’s License or willing obtain license post hire
• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
• Willing and able to travel locally to client visits
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $200,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
