THE ROLE

TOGETHXR is looking for a Producer-Editor who lives equally in both worlds – someone who can develop and produce original YouTube formats from concept to camera, and then own the edit from first cut to final delivery. This is not a producer who occasionally edits, or an editor who sometimes produces. This role demands both skill sets operating at a high level, every day.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and a strategic YouTube thinker who understands that the best content is built in the edit as much as it is on set. You'll shape TOGETHXR’s YouTube voice by building repeatable formats, making smart data-informed decisions, and crafting videos designed to hook viewers and keep them watching, from cold open to final frame.

Editing is not a plus in this role. It is the role. Production and post-production are inseparable here – and we’re looking for someone who wouldn’t have it any other way.

STATUS: Freelance with an opportunity for Full-Time Conversion

Pay Range: 100-125k
The hiring salary range for this position applies to California, New York, and most other geographies. The successful applicant’s salary depends on a variety of job-related factors, including, without limitation, location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop original, repeatable YouTube formats designed for scale and audience growth
• Lead projects from ideation through final delivery – owning pre-production, production, and post-production end to end
• Build clear, executable production plans for all assigned projects
• Collaborate closely with talent, creators, and internal teams throughout production
• Operate with a lean, hands-on approach – producing, shooting, editing, and occasionally appearing on camera as needed
• Ensure all content reflects TOGETHXR’s voice, mission, and storytelling standards

EDITING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the edit on all assigned projects from assembly cut through final delivery, no handoff, no middle person
• Craft story structure, pacing, rhythm, and tone in the edit suite with the same creative investment as on set
• Build compelling cold opens, hooks, and payoff structures that drive retention and keep viewers watching
• Develop a consistent visual language and editing style that is distinctly TOGETHXR on YouTube
• Execute color, sound, motion graphics, and titles to a high standard, or collaborate closely with post team when needed
• Turn around edits efficiently without sacrificing quality, this role requires speed and craft in equal measure

YOUTUBE STRATEGY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use performance data, CTR, retention, watch time, audience growth, to refine formats and guide creative decisions
• Contribute to overall channel strategy including content mix, publishing cadence, and format development
• Collaborate with design to optimize titles, thumbnails, descriptions, and tags
• Track and report on key performance metrics with a clear point of view on what the data means and what to do next

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of production experience, with at least 3 years focused on YouTube content
• Proven editing experience at a professional level, a reel or portfolio of edited work is required
• Strong editorial instincts with experience pitching, scripting, and shaping stories
• Deep understanding of YouTube programming, audience behavior, and platform best practices
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere required; After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent a strong plus
• Comfortable operating independently both in the field and in post, from camera to timeline
• Passion for sports, storytelling, and the evolving landscape of women’s sports media
