Job summary

CNN is seeking a Producer for its new streaming service. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional editorial judgment, creative storytelling instincts and advanced video editing abilities to help create compelling content for a new direct-to-consumer platform.

The Producer will be part of a fast-growing team of video professionals responsible for delivering high quality content to our new streaming platform.

Qualifications

• At least 4 to 6 years of experience of progressively complex related experience in new or sports environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, technical production, or relevant professional work experience.
• Strong editorial judgment with sharp story instincts
• Strong proficiency in shaping and revising narrative structure, tone, and pacing
• Strong collaborator who mentors junior team members

Responsibilities

• Pitch and execute ideas with an eye for visual storytelling, composition, and pacing
• Must be skilled in Premiere and After Effects
• Exhibit creative vision and a strong understanding of digital platforms
• Skilled video editor who can manage projects end-to-end and juggle multiple projects at a time
• Familiarity with video performance metrics and audience insights
• Ensure content complies with legal, rights, and editorial standards
• Collaborate with other producers, talent, external contributors, and production partners across the news division
• Own pre-production coordination (logistics, bookings, clearances)
• Assists in pre-production, production, and post-production tasks as needed
• Contribute to culture of innovation, creativity, and editorial excellence
