Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member Leader to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, focusing on profitability, expense control, merchandising, and regulatory compliance. You will lead and develop Team Members, while upholding health and safety standards and store SOPs.

The role emphasizes high-energy leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to mentor staff, analyze sales, and drive labor efficiency. Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead and develop Team Members while maintaining store standards.
• Strong knowledge of profitability, labor, and vendor interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops / maintains awareness of new products.
• Maintains good vendor relationships and ensures paperwork for vendor processing.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Functions as point person and departmental lead in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Responds to customer needs and directs Team Members to delight customers.
• Trains and mentors Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
• Provides timely performance evaluations and aligns with company vision.
