Job summary

SpartanNash’s Grand Haven store is seeking a Part-time Produce Associate to maintain and operate the produce department, including trimming and preparation of merchandise according to department standards. You’ll help ensure fresh, inviting displays and accurate labeling.

You’ll weigh, package and label products, rotate stock, assist with deliveries, practice suggestive selling, and follow safety, PPE, and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Cut, slice, and prepare produce as directed.
• Weigh, package and label products.
• Rotate and merchandise produce and floral shelves; assist with unloading deliveries.
• Notify the Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well stocked departments.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines; follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
