Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) in Tyler, Texas is seeking a team member for the Produce/Floral department. You will maintain stock levels, ensure fresh displays, and uphold food safety standards while delivering friendly customer service.

Responsibilities include rotating dated product, operating a pallet jack, answering price questions, and supporting sales. Must be 18+, have a Food Handler certificate, and be available for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old to work and to operate motorized equipment.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Ability to safely operate department equipment and pallet jack.
• Strong customer service and team collaboration.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full stock of produce and floral display racks, tables, and shelves.
• Operate pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reloads trucks with return items.
• Ensure dated product is stocked, rotated, or discarded properly if unsold.
• Inspects product for quality and maintains quality control and food safety standards.
• Assists customers by responding to price check questions and locating product.
• Promotes product sales through suggestive selling initiatives.
• Provides friendly customer service and addresses customer questions or complaints.
• Maintains clean, safe working environment and follows safety procedures.
• Practices high sanitary standards for handling raw and uncooked food products.
• Takes precautionary safety measures when using equipment and tools.
