Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the department stocked and clean while assisting customers with product selection. You will adhere to department guidelines, ensure pricing accuracy, and support the cut fruit/vegetable program.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years grocery retail experience; a background in natural foods is a plus. The role offers weekly pay and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in floral/departments.
• Previous experience in natural foods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of produce department, floral area, storage area and work area.
• Stock produce and floral items, rotate stock, and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Assist customers with purchases, information and product selection.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
• Monitor point-of-purchase signs and provide recipe cards and promotional materials.
• Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Participate in pre-inventory preparation and back stock checks.
• Support cut fruit and vegetable program and overall department organization.
