Job summary

ShopRite is seeking an associate for the Produce Department to deliver a great customer experience while pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise. The role requires maintaining a neat and visually appealing department and performing tasks safely within company policy.

Essential duties include greeting customers, promoting promotions, differentiating produce varieties, and following sanitation, QA, and safety guidelines. Regular lifting and shift flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math and understand pricing.
• Ability to stand and walk for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh produce and cleaning agents safely.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Stock, price, and rotate produce merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, organized department.
• Differentiate produce types by taste, seasonality, and use.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and restocking.
