Job summary

ShopRite of Little Falls in Little Falls, NJ is seeking a Produce Clerk to deliver great customer service while pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Produce Department.

You will keep the department neat and appealing, ensure product freshness, and follow safety and sanitation rules. This role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs and to work with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to stand/walk for the full shift.
• Lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Work with fresh, dried, and/or processed products and spices.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Price, stock, and rotate merchandise in the Produce Department.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and visually appealing department.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and price marking.
• Maintain sanitation QA standards and operate equipment as needed.
• Assist in display and restocking to ensure product freshness.
• Adhere to safety, health, and company policies.
• Attend department training programs.
