Job summary

Food Lion in Charleston, SC is seeking a Produce Department Associate to provide quality customer service and maintain standards per the standard practice manual. You will handle ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and display of merchandise, unload trucks, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering fast, friendly service in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Produce Department.
• Maintain standards in accordance with the standard practice manual.
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Maintain adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge while on duty.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
