Job summary

Food Lion in Irmo, SC is seeking a Produce Department team member to deliver quality customer service and maintain standards for display and presentation of produce. You will assist with ordering, receiving and preparation while ensuring efficiency on the retail floor.

You will follow safety guidelines, operate relevant store tools (ACIS, CAO) and complete required CBT trainings to support a fast, friendly shopping experience and shrink control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Produce Department.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Understand and use store tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents per procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Adhere to local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and maintain a neat appearance.
