Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Bethesda is seeking a Team Member for the Produce department to support receiving and preparing product, maintain displays, and assist customers with a friendly, efficient service standard.

You will stock shelves, face cases, follow health and safety rules, and participate in trainings. This entry-level role offers growth potential and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh, appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean and stocked.
• Assists in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and leads.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, and merchandising products.
• Follows procedures including health and safety and Weights and Measures.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary work and shopping environment; ensures equipment safety.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
