Job description

We’re hiring a Produce Packer to join our fast-paced production and distribution team! If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a hands-on environment, this is a great opportunity to grow with a company that keeps fresh produce moving efficiently and safely.

The Produce Packer plays a key role in the preparation and packaging of fresh products for shipment. This position involves placing raw materials or produce into machines to support the assembly process, packaging finished goods, organizing products for delivery, and conducting quality checks on both equipment and products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

• Compensation: $16.00 per hour
• Schedule: Full time: Monday through Thursday 6:30am until finished. Part time: Varies depending on business needs must be available Fridays and Saturdays.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Grade, classify, and sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications and package accordingly.
• Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
• Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
• Unload tomatoes onto a conveyer.
• Remove defects, such as scarred or bruised products.
• Work in a clean, organized and safe manner.

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to stand on the production floor for 8+ hours per day.
• Ability to distinguish color for grading produce.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous work in a processing or warehouse environment.
