Albertsons Companies seeks a Produce Department Manager to lead daily operations, uphold freshness standards, and drive strong merchandising and customer service within the Produce department. You will manage staff, execute corporate merchandising programs, and ensure safety and quality across all displays.

You will train and coach associates, optimize labor, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment to deliver vibrant, market-fresh produce customers trust daily.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service
• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge
• Execute corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays
• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times
• Manage product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards
• Order, receive, inspect, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines
• Manage shrink through inventory controls, root‑cause identification, and waste‑reduction strategies
• Build and manage labor schedules aligned with business needs
• Train, coach, and develop produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards
