Houchens Food Group in Murphy, NC seeks a Produce Department team member to help manage daily orders, staff assignments, and product movement. You will stock, price, rotate, and merchandise while upholding safety standards in a high-paced store environment.

The role involves unloading deliveries, maintaining temperature controls, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with emphasis on teamwork and customer service.

Responsabilidades

• Projects sales, product movement, and labor needs.
• Orders product according to established guidelines.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries with available equipment.
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce staff.
• Stock and straighten merchandise and supplies; rotate stock by shelf life.
• Price items using labeling tools and ensure cooler temperatures are maintained.
• Perform housekeeping and operate equipment safely; lift up to 50 pounds.

• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
• Orders product according to established guidelines.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce department personnel.
• Follows established guidelines in all personnel issues, interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, discharge, etc.
• Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts.
• Prepares weekly work schedules according to established guidelines.
• Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• Using pricing/label gun, marks each item with the correct selling price.
• Rotates merchandise according to anticipated shelf life/product expiration dates.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
• Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ensure coolers and cases maintain appropriate temperatures
• Ability to work in temperature extremes, (produce cooler maximum low temperature, 32 degrees).
• Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
