Albertsons Companies seeks a Produce Department Manager to lead daily operations of the Produce Department, ensuring freshness, quality, and a superior customer experience. You will drive merchandising programs, inventory control, and staff development in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor associates, manage labor, uphold food safety standards, and execute company programs to deliver vibrant, market-ready produce displays and outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service
• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge
• Execute corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays
• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times
• Manage product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards
• Order, receive, inspect, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines
• Manage shrink through inventory controls, root-cause identification, and waste-reduction strategies
• Build and manage labor schedules aligned with business needs
• Train, coach, and develop produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards

Main r esponsibilities :

Knowledge:

• Produce handling, rotation, and freshness standards
• Retail merchandising and promotional execution
• Store systems and inventory tools

Abilities:

• Ability to review sales, shrink, and inventory data to drive results
• Ability to train and develop associates
• Ability to lift, move, and stack product and work in coolers and refrigerated environments

• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
• Reliable attendance
• Compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and the Code of Business Conduct
