Job summary

Albertsons Companies seeks a Produce Department Manager to lead the Produce Department in a fast-paced retail setting. You will oversee daily operations, ensure freshness and presentation, and drive sales through strong merchandising and attentive customer service.

You will train associates, manage inventory and labor scheduling, and uphold food safety and company standards to deliver a top-quality produce experience for customers.

Main responsibilities :

• Oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service
• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge
• Execute corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays
• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times
• Manage product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards
• Order, receive, inspect, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines
• Manage shrink through inventory controls, root ‑ cause identification, and waste ‑ reduction strategies
• Build and manage labor schedules aligned with business needs
• Train, coach, and develop produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards

• Ability to lift, move, and stack product and work in coolers and refrigerated environments
