Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Produce Department operations focusing on freshness, quality, and customer service.
• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates have product knowledge.
• Execute corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promos.
• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times.
• Manage product rotation, remove damaged items, and uphold freshness standards.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, inspection, and store product following food safety guidelines.
• Contribute to shrink reduction via inventory controls and root-cause analysis.
• Help build labor schedules aligned with business needs.
• Lead training, coaching, and development of produce associates in a positive environment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company standards.
• Perform department duties as needed and cover for the Produce Manager as required.

Main responsibilities

• Help oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service


• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge


• Assist with executing corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays


• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times


• Assist with managing product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards


• Assist with ordering, receiving, inspection, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines


• Help with managing shrink through inventory controls, root‑cause identification, and waste‑reduction strategies


• Assist with building and managing labor schedules aligned with business needs


• Assist with training, coaching, and developing produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment


• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards


• Perform Product Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Produce Manager
