Job summary

Save A Lot in Memphis, TN seeks a Produce Lead to supervise the produce department, ensure freshness and proper display, and uphold safety standards. You will lead daily operations, manage inventory, and support team training while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires English literacy, teamwork, reliability, and physical ability to work in a retail environment, including temperatures in cold areas and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven retail sales experience with a focus on customer service.
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Proficiency in basic math and simple computer skills.
• Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Stocks the produce department daily using FIFO.
• Follows quality control and cold chain procedures.
• Culls the department daily for low quality or close-dated items.
• Reduces low quality or close-dated products for customers and shrink control.
• Enters loss and discard data into the handheld daily for inventory accuracy.
• Oversees receiving, down stacking, and checks deliveries against invoices.
• Submits credits for deliveries with issues or shortages.
• Maintains produce displays, bins, and dry racks with high standards.
• Maintains sanitation in preparation area and backrooms.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists training as needed.
• Writes orders using the order guide and on-hand data.
• Counts quarterly inventory with accuracy and honesty.
