Willoughby Hills Grocery Outlet is seeking a dependable Produce Lead to oversee the daily operation of our produce department in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. The right candidate will take ownership of the department, ensuring freshness, cleanliness, organization, and attractive product presentation.

Previous produce department experience is required, with leadership or department-lead experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of produce freshness, rotation, storage, and handling
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and product quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly bend, reach, stand, and walk
• Availability to work mornings, weekends, and some holidays as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked produce department
• Inspect products regularly for freshness and quality
• Properly rotate products and remove damaged or expired merchandise
• Complete markdowns and manage shrink
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming produce deliveries
• Build attractive displays and keep tables, racks, and coolers full
• Monitor inventory and communicate ordering and product needs
• Maintain accurate pricing and signage
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and company procedures
• Assist customers with product questions and requests
• Train and guide employees working in the produce department
• Complete department tasks without constant supervision
• Assist in other areas of the store when needed

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Approximately 32-40 hours per week
