Job summary

Testa Produce, Inc. in Chicago is seeking an Inventory Clerk to organize daily counts, monitor product quality, and coordinate with buyers and warehouse managers to maintain accurate stock levels.

The role requires at least 1 year in produce distribution, proficiency with Inventory Management Software and Excel, and the ability to work the 5:00pm–1:30am shift, Sunday through Friday with days off on Tuesday and Saturday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1+ years of experience in inventory in a substantial produce distribution/food manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Inventory Management Software and Excel.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and perform daily physical inventory counts.
• Assist in monitoring product quality and advise buyers/warehouse managers of deviations.
• Slot new product and advise of locations.
• Work with buyers on quantity, quality, and usage issues.
• Provide inventory reports to buyers, warehouse managers, and inventory control.
• Operate a cherry picker for counting at height.
• Manage and maintain the inventory system.
• Conduct periodic inventories and audits.
